Other antennas may offer higher gain but the signal distribution becomes an issue and causes signal drop outs. High Performance
The Bitstorm 6dBi antenna is an economical, yet high performance omni-directional Wi-Fi antenna designed for the 2.4GHz band. These compact and lightweight antennas are ideally suited for IEEE 802.11b/g/n public Wi-Fi hotspot access where wide coverage is desired.
Versatile and Economical
This antenna features an integral N-Female bulkhead type connector. Included with the Bitstorm 6dB antenna is a rail or wall mounting kit consisting of a stainless steel bracket and a pair of injection molded black nylon clamps with rubber liner. This kit allows easy installation on rails up to 1.0" in diameter without scratching or marring the surface.
All Weather Operation
Constructed for all weather operation, the Bitstorm 6dBi Antenna features sealed collinear brass elements inside a durable UV-stable gray fiberglass radome. A vented end cap and drain holes in the base prevent moisture build-up inside the antenna. These features allow the Bitstorm 6dBi Antenna to be mounted in up or down positions.
Dispersion Pattern
Why is a 6dBi antenna the only one being offered?
FCC Part 15.247 rules require that an antenna of less than 6dBi operate at no more than 1W EIRP (Equivalent Isotropically Radiated Power). However, the rules are relaxed for antennas at or greater than 6dBi and allow for up to 4W EIRP because higher gain antennas are more directive, which reduces the possibility of RF interference with other systems. For antennas with gain greater than 6 dBi, the FCC also requires you to reduce the transmitter output power if the transmitter is already at the maximum of 1 watt. What this means is that using a higher gain antenna will require you to turn down the power output. Your best output and signal radiation pattern for accessing Wi-Fi hotspots is a 6dBi gain antenna. Warranty Information
2. The customer is responsible for delivering the defective product to the designated RMA address for repair or replacement.
3. Bitstorm will repair or replace a product that was found to be defective by Bitstorm during the warranty period at its discretion.
4. This warranty does not cover labor cost for removing and reinstalling the device for repair nor for any expendable parts that are readily replaced in normal use.
5. The sole responsibility of Bitstorm under this warranty shall be limited to repair of this product, or replacement thereof, at the sole discretion of Bitstorm.
6. All RMA items shipped to Bitstorm must be freight prepaid. Bitstorm will pay the return freight via a service of Bitstorm's choice. Customer is responsible for payment of any shipping upgrades.
Limitation of Warranty
This warranty does not apply if the Product:
a. has been opened and/or altered, except by Bitstorm technical personnel,
b. has been painted in way shape or form,
c. has been damaged due to errors or defects in cabling,
d. has been subjected to abnormal physical or electrical stress, including lightening strike, misuse, negligence, or accident,
e. has been improperly installed,
f. removal of MAC Address label, or
g. has been loaded or attempted to have loaded incorrect firmware.

***International Customers***
1. Customer to use their own shipping account when sending products back to Bitstorm.
2. When sending back RMA, the commercial invoice must declare “Return For Repair” and “NO Commercial Value”. The total value of the commercial invoice cannot exceed $10.00USD. If these steps are not followed, the RMA will not be accepted or fulfilled.
